It's been a sad day :(
One of my closest and longest serving work mates suffered a massive heart attack at the work today and died in front of me at 12.20pm....Peter Horsburgh was 47, I'd worked with him for some 18+ years and we shared the drive to and from work every day for the last 9 years. He left two boys aged 16 and 14 and a lot of work colleagues who'll sorely miss him.....
The ambulance man stated that the attack was so massive and sudden that, no matter what we would have tried, he'd have died :(
It's the saddest and scariest thing I've ever witnessed and brought a lot of "life issues" crashing home in all their reality.
Tomorrow is going to be really, really strange and hard as the passenger seat will be empty and it'll hit me that he'll never share a joke or an arguement or a discussion about football or gaming ot families ever again :(
The cold reality of that hit me about 4pm today.......It's so sad.
Rest in Peace Peter....I know you're in a better place now.....Your friend now and always...
Rob

I'm sorry for your loss. If you need anything at all I've got an open ear and a shoulder for you to lean on should you need or want it. Emma
That's tragic and shocking. To lose a friend is awful in any circumstances, but so suddenly and right in front of you, can't imagine how that must feel and hope I never find out. It's obviously going to be very hard on his family, there are are support groups that can help a little. My sister lost her husband and got a lot of help from a group called Widowed and Young (WAY), maybe in a little time a group like that might be able to offer some help to his wife. It's something that is increadably hard to deal with on your own, just being able to talk to someone who went through something similar can really help. My condolences.
My condolences Raven, very sorry you had to experience something so horrible, R.I.P. Peter
