SpawnPoint - Where Game Begins

So 2008 has come and gone and it's back to work tomorrow as 2009 rolls along....

I got to thinking last night about some minor things that really really bug me and what I should do to fix them.

1) Cold callers who call either the work or the home trying to sell you "something". They KNOW it's now breaking the law but still try it under the guise of a "survey". Yea right you know you're in the wrong...why not give me your home phone number and I'll call you at your home during your dinner and see how you like it!

2) People at work who try to tell me how to do my job.....Yea right I've only been doing it for the past 20+ years and have probably forgotten more about it than they actually know.....

3) Customers who make up every excuse they know for why they haven't paid their overdue account.....I'm not interested if your mother died....the dog ate your cheque book or your wife kicked you out of the house...pay up or else!

4) People who think they can just "gatecrash" management ventrilo channels either because they think they're welcome or because there's no one at home......Just because you were invited once doesn't mean we're suddenly live in housemates......go sit somewhere else.....you don't have "squatters rights."

5) People who want to argue with moderator and staff on the forums....guess what you don't have any democratic rights. If a moderator or staff member tells you to stop something or change something there's really no point trying to argue....you WILL lose....and probably end up "elsewhere" in to the bargain. Just do as your told and things are quickly forgotten.

6) People who argue with admins on server.....Guess what, there's really no point ;) Our rules clearly state bring your case to the forums.....that means just that....that doesn't mean argue until you are kicked or banned and then come on and complain ;).....This goes well with admins who want to argue with the Server Support Staff members.....why bother? They are right....that's why they have that position ;)

7) Blatant hackers who come on and try to argue that "it was my brother/friend/mother/dog" who cheated.....tough sh*t....you should have thought of that before allowing your dog to play then!

8) Regular players who reckon either a) They are above our rules or b) think that even though they broke them that we should be somehow too lenient" on them.....Guess again....you should know better.......

9) Asshats who are complete tools who join the forums, spam a quick half dozen posts and then appply for admin....We know you are a tool (You've proven it on server or in your posts) so when you are declined there's little point in immediately applying again. This goes hand in hand with those people who are granted admin who then never post anything on the forums. You do, I assume, realise that the forums help pay for all the servers? And that, without one there isn't the other....think about it the next time you never actually want to post anything on here but do to excess elsewhere.....you might find the rules could change real quick ........

10) People who bug me on steam friends or ventrilo or MSN for no reason other than they can.......It's a nice simple way to be removed from any or all of the contact lists........Chat is good but if you don't get a reply within 5 minutes guess what? I'm not actually there so there's no point in spamming a book into the system now is there?

Ah all done...I could go on LOL
